Our school library has more than just required reading. It offers nearly 9,000 books for young and older children as well as adults. New books are constantly being purchased for the library, and we focus primarily on offering literature for first level children. We try to offer books that they will like and enjoy reading. Older children will find plenty of books in the library for school reading and report preparation, as well as hobby literature. Some of the book collection is for upper grade students and adults. The library also has books in English, a number of comic books, 10 magazine titles, and board games.
Children can spend time here after school before their leisure activities start or their parents come to collect them. There is a computer and three netbooks for writing texts, preparing reports and presentations. Last but not least, the library is also a place for seminars, discussions or various meetings of parents or other residents of Hanspaulka, and the editorial board of the Hanspaulka magazine meets here.
Books are lent for 30 days, free of charge to school pupils.
